One Chinese legend of Mao Pao and the white turtle illustrates this point. One day Mao Pao sees a fisherman about to kill a white turtle. He takes pity on the turtle and gives his own clothes to the fisherman in exchange for the turtle. Years later the turtle saves Mao Pao’s life by ferrying him across the Yangtze River away from pursuing enemies.
The Daishonin states: "If even lowly creatures know enough to do this, then how much more should human beings!" (WND, 690). The gratitude shown by animals in those talks reminds us of how easily we can overlook this very virtue that makes us human.
I feel that i am lacking that now.. that's why i cannot treasure those gifts.. these are great gifts as you can see below..
There are 4 gifts in all! and is like even though my darling first time bought an electronic item for me (you know boys love electronic stuffs), but i am happy but not grateful.. i feel that i lack something.. Its a Sennheiser CX300 noise cancelation earpiece! Wow i suppose its reali expensive yea? next to it is the plushie of my dear herself! we named her yoyo.. and she has an exact plushie but blue in colour.. we named him ponpon.. put them together? PONYO! HAHA xD the shirt below is the first vintage shirt my dear bought for me.. so many firsts yet...i dun understand.. haiz..
this gift as you can see touched me..its a musical frame.. my first musical item from piggy! Its custom made, with a slot for photo on the left, and a musical mechanism glue behind it.. the knob as you can see is above the guy.. the words read "A pig & A log, Play together on the Springfield land! " LOL simpsons.. haha.. oh yea.. the chime which plays is from "My neighbour Totoro"!
